Social Events One of the challenges for this multi-language global gift-giving site was in developing an interface that would communicate clearly each of the user's choices, while providing the ability to perform different functions on those selection. To address this, I created an interface that leverages DHTML's ability to have internal page-level scrolling regions. This solution allows the user to quickly and easily see selected information, while not cluttering the screen with an overabundance of choices.

McKinsey Marketing While developing this well-known marketing group's website, we came across the need to show lengthy knowledge objects, while not deterring the user from quickly accessing the other areas of the site. The best solution was determined to be a scrolling area, with page-level controls for moving through this information. These pages then never require the user to scroll vertically, keeping the top-level navigation within quick access, while providing the ability to delve into the individual page contents.

Federal Farm Credit The navigation structure for this massive website presented us with an interesting challenge: address the two distinct user goals of a "browser" seamlessly with those of an "Expert" seeking a finite piece information. To address these disparite needs, I created a navigational structure that is both easy to browse, as well as provides deep links to any part of the site, while not becoming overwhelming. The resultant hierarchical list, paired with drill-down interactivity meets these needs perfectly.

QuantumBuy For this scientific equipment site, we integrated the tremendously broad, as well as deep, product offerings with an interface that gave the user a clear view into the organizational structure of product offerings. The construction of this challenging interface was then accomplished by closely managing the back-end database development with the visual process, while adhering to the rigorous project plan.

College Xtra The challenge on this project was to create a portal home page that didn't look cluttered and confusing, like most portals, yet still contained a tremendous amount of information. I accomplished this by taking all of the common portal categories, like weather and horoscope, and collapsing them into drill downs. This then allows the user to view only what (s)he is interested in, keeping the pages clean and uncluttered.
