Art direction of site design requires strong creative vision fused with effective communication

Not many people can say they've been designing web-based communications for 8 years. My background and training make me an ideal candidate to head up any design efforts.

Due to my experience dealing with a diversity of clients with vastly differing goals, my ability to produce effective, user-based designs is superb.

McKinsey Marketing
The design process for this prestigious marketing group involved building consensus through three iterations. The challenge came in understanding the complex branding guidelines, in part defined by this site, as well as the diverse business metrics behind the site. The resultant designs resonate closely with the user profiles developed, as well as the internal culture at McKinsey.

Mouse
The design for the Mouse site posed many unique challenges. It needed to be simple enough for the client to update, yet technically elegant to woo the interest of technology-based companies. To achieve this, we created numerous iterations, leveraging the strengths of HTML, while presenting the Mouse organization transparently through large, candid section cover photos. This horizontal design gives Mouse the appropriate degree of tech-savy, without burdening users with complex technologies, thus speeding up access for students and teachers.

MultiLogic-Sybase
The goal of this project was to convey the benefits of MultiLogic and Sybase' software partnership in diverse sales environments. To accomplish this, I designed this saleable Flash piece that highlights MultiLogic's AI software in an interactive commercial style. The grid structure communicates the component-based system, as well as the modular integration possible through Sybase. Due to the diverse settings this piece would be presented in, saleability was deemed essential. The result is a self-guided interface, allowing the user access to the breadth and depth of MultiLogic's benefits.

Federal Farm Credit
For this project, we were asked to create a new identity for the Federal Farm Credit banking system's web presence. The challenge was in merging the farming community with the bond market sensibilities, traditionally extremely disparate identities. We didn't want to come across as favoring one over the other. To accomplish this, we created the header along a strong horizontal rule to resonate with the farm landscape, while utilizing textural stock photography applied on a section-by section basis. The resultant site blends the two sensibilities while not appearing disjointed.

College Xtra The design for these campus-specific portals needed to have an identity appropriate for each individual school, while maintaining the global brand of the parent company. The different sites are all derived from a template, yet each has its own unique identity. This allows for an identity with a broad appeal for the parent company, while not diluting the design of each portal.
